main bearing cap bolts:

1.  Apply clean engine oil to the threads of the main

bearing cap bolts.

Cylinder Liner

2.  Put the main bearing caps in the correct position

that is indicated by a number on  the top of the

main bearing cap. Install the main bearing caps

with the locating tabs in correct alignment with the

recess in the cylinder block.

The maximum counterbore depth allowable variation

between four points. ...............  0.03 mm (0.001 inch)

3.  Evenly tighten the main bearing cap bolts.

The maximum counterbore depth before  adding
